Here are a few common questions students may have about FLI@Colby, getting involved, and finding support.
No. FLI@Colby supports students who identify as first-generation, low-income, or both.
No. FLI@Colby is for students across all class years. Students can participate in events, mentorship, newsletters, resources, and community-building throughout their time at Colby.
You can join through CampusGroups, attend FLI@Colby opportunities, read updates, or connect with the FLI@Colby team.
FLI Pre-Orientation is a program before classes begin that helps incoming students build community, learn about resources, meet mentors, and feel more prepared for Colby.
Unfortunately, FLI@Colby does not cover personal travel expenses. We have also checked with Student Financial Services, and at this time, they do not have resources specifically available for travel expenses.
No. Pre-O is one way to get connected early, but you do not need to attend Pre-O to be part of FLI@Colby. Students can still join the community, receive updates, connect with mentors, attend opportunities, and access resources throughout the year.
