This email focuses on Pre-Orientation and travel advice. Even if you are not planning to attend Pre-O, we still encourage you to read through the email, as it includes helpful travel information that may be useful as you prepare to arrive at Colby.
For those of you who signed up for mentorship, confirmation and next steps will be shared in a later email.
Pre-O Confirmation
Pre-Orientation is an intentionally designed experience to welcome FLI and international students to Colby and the college experience at a manageable pace. If you registered, we’re excited to share that you are approved to participate in Pre-Orientation!
This year, FLI Pre-O participants can move-in on August 31st, 2026 and Pre-O kick-off will start on September 1st, 2026. We’ll be sharing more details with you throughout the summer as we finalize the schedule of sessions and events, but for now we’re happy to share a broad overview of what we’ll focus on for each day.
This means you can now begin planning your travel to arrive on campus between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Eastern Time on August 31, 2026. We know that traveling to campus can be an intimidating undertaking, so we have a few resources we hope will be helpful in the process. Once you’ve planned and booked your travel, please complete the form below to confirm your participation, share your travel plans to campus, and can request shuttle transportation from Portland to campus!
The form is due by 11:59 EDT on July 27, 2026 to secure your spot for Pre-O. If you are not attending Pre-O, you do not need to complete this form.
If you are also an international student, please complete this form only once. This is the same form for both international students and FLI students.
