Dear *|FNAME|*,

Happy beginning of June! It is so exciting to see the number of people already signed up for the Program. This week we’re excited to introduce ourselves and to share reminders about how you can get learn more and get involved with FLI@Colby.

Meet the Team

During the academic year, our program has a full team of Peer Mentors and Program Assistants who work diligently to support the FLI community. Over the summer, though, we are a much smaller team focused on getting ready to welcome you to campus. Meet Gadiel and Yahaira who are this year’s summer team:

Hello everyone! My name is Gadiel Montero, and I am a rising senior majoring in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience. I’m one of the summer program assistants, and during the school year I’ll also be a FLI mentor and program assistant. Outside of academics, I’m interested in healthcare, animals, video/content creation, and sports. I’m really excited to meet you all during Pre-O and help welcome you into the FLI community at Colby!

Join us on June 13 at 7:00 PM on Zoom for the first FLI Program info session! This session is a chance to learn more about the FLI Program, ask questions, and hear about the support, resources, and community available to first-generation and/or low-income students at Colby.

We will talk about what the program offers, what students can expect, and how FLI can help you navigate your transition to college. You are welcome to come with any questions related to the FLI Program, student life, campus resources, or anything else you are wondering about.
