Hi everyone,
As we (finally) look ahead to sunnier days and the spring season, now is the perfect time to make sure your gear is ready to go! Do you have a favorite puffy jacket with a hole? A backpack with a busted zipper? Ski pants with a split seam?
We’ve got you covered!
The Colby Office of Outdoor Education and Leadership and the Office of Sustainability are teaming up to host a Free Gear Repair Pop-Up with Maine GearShare.
When: Thursday, April 9th, from 11 AM - 5 PM
Where: The Spa!
Bring in your damaged gear–whether it is torn zippers, holes in your puffy, broken buckles, or split seams–and Maine GearShare will fix it up for free. All you have to do is bring it by (just make sure items are clean!) and hang out while you get some homework done.
Not sure if they can fix it? No worries, bring it anyway, and they’ll take a look.
This is a great chance to extend the life of your favorite gear, keep it out of the landfill, and get trail-ready without the cost of a repair shop.
Hope to see you there!
Best,
Colby Office of Outdoor Education and Leadership Team!
