The mission of the Colby Cheer Team is to provide students with the opportunity to participate in fun-spirited cheerleading, learn the different types of cheerleading, and spread spirit throughout the community. We strive to cultivate a safe and productive community of people who will support and uplift each other. We will promote camaraderie in the form of school spirit through sideline cheering at sporting events and other community events on campus.
Joining the Colby College Cheer Team offers members the opportunity to build lifelong friendships, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and represent the Mules with pride at athletic events and campus traditions. Team members enjoy a supportive and inclusive environment where they can improve their stunting, tumbling, and performance abilities while promoting school spirit throughout the Colby community. Additional membership benefits include opportunities to travel for select events, participate in team bonding activities, gain coaching and mentorship, stay active year-round, and create lasting memories through shared experiences and community involvement. Whether you are an experienced cheerleader or eager to grow your skills, the Colby College Cheer Team provides a rewarding experience both on and off the sidelines.
