The First-Year Experience (FYE) at Colby College is designed to ensure that every student enters the Colby community with the support, resources, and connections needed to thrive academically, personally, and socially. By integrating academic life, advising, and residential living, the FYE fosters a strong sense of belonging, cultivates essential academic and personal skills, and promotes student wellness. Through intentional programming, mentorship, and shared experiences, the FYE empowers students to build meaningful relationships, engage deeply with Colby’s intellectual community, and lay the foundation for success throughout their time at the College and beyond.
