Colby Ice Fishing Club

Members Benefits

Access to Club Gear: Borrow rods, tip-ups, augers, shelters, and other equipment so you can get out on the ice without buying your own setup. Guided Group Trips: Join organized outings led by experienced members to some of Maine's best ice fishing spots, no experience necessary. Learn From Fellow Members: Pick up real skills from people who've done it: knot tying, bait selection, reading ice, jigging techniques, all in a low-pressure, beginner-friendly environment. A Community Built Around Winter: Connect with students who'd rather be outside in January than indoors. The club is as much about the people and the experience as it is about catching fish. Environmental and Safety Education: Learn how to read ice conditions, practice Leave No Trace principles, and fish responsibly in Maine's lakes and ponds. Independent Gear Borrowing: Go out on your own terms. Club members can borrow gear for personal trips, not just club-organized ones. Appreciation for Maine's Outdoors: Gain a deeper connection to the state you're living in, its winters, its water, and the traditions that come with both.
