Colby Community Health Program

Connecting Colby College students with underserved communities in the Waterville area through health and wellness education.

What We Do

Each year students apply to become CCHP volunteers. Working together, students research health and wellness topics. Using what they've learned, they facilitate workshops for the residents at the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter throughout the semester. Empowering residents to make informed decisions about their health.

Beyond Mayflower Hill

The Colby Community Health Program strives to connect students with the diverse communities that make up Waterville, fostering a deeper understanding and respect of the people that make up the town Colby College calls home.

The connections students make throughout their time with the Colby Community Health Program prepare them to make meaningful differences in the communities they serve during their time at Colby and beyond.

Our Partner

The Colby Community Health Program proudly partners with the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter in Waterville. Each semester volunteers visit three times, seeing ten to thirty residents during each workshop.

A Student-Run Volunteer Program

The Colby Community Health Program is a student-run volunteer program funded by the Office of Civic Engagement and Community Partnerships since 2022
